was born in Istanbul, received the bachelor's and master's degrees in England. During his studies, he participated in several exhibitions with his graphic design works and worked as a freelancer. He, as an amateur musician, was awarded the first prize at Maidstone Music Festival and the third prize at Sevenoaks Three Arts Festival in classical guitar competitions in 2009 and 2010. He is also a former member of Wealden Guitar Society and Chesterfield Guitar Society. After completing his master's degree, he delved even more into his animation practice and started working as a lecturer. He also participated in a few animation festivals and gave animation workshops in Poland and Spain during this time. Volkan blended his animation skills with his 20 years of amateur music experience, bringing about a perfect match for a new concept, music visualization. In September 2017, he started studying at the doctoral school of Hungarian University of Fine Arts. His main interests include music visualization and animation"
